- 6-8 Prickly Pear fruit depending on size
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- Cut pears in half and scoop out pulp and place in a sauce pan.
- Add water and sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil mixture until it reduces by 1/3 and pulp is soft.
- Strain mixture through a fine sieve. Make sure to save the syrup. Place pulp in bowl and add about 2 tbsp. of syrup and mix well.
