Buttermilk Tomato & Jalapeno Gravy
  • 1/4stick butter
  • 3tbsp flour
  • 1 jalapenostemmed, seeded, and diced
  • 2cups buttermilk
  • 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4-1/2cup water
  1. In a skillet over medium heat place butter and melt.
  2. Add flour and mix well to completely combine and form a roux.
  3. Add buttermilk and stir well.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and stir well.
  5. Add enough water to cut mixture and stir well.
  6. Salt and pepper to taste.
