Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar (white)
  • 3 tbsp flour rounded
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 pie shells unbaked

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cream sugar and butter.
  • Add flour and eggs; beat well.
  • Add vanilla, milk and nutmeg; mix well.
  • Pour into pie shells.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes in preheated 350°F oven, then for 20-25 minutes more at 325°F or until a thin knife comes out clean.
