In a large skillet over medium high heat add place olive oil and minced garlic.
Add chicken breast and season with salt and pepper.
Sear chicken until nicely browned and then remove from pan.
Add butter, onions and mushrooms.
Lightly sauté for 2 minutes.
Deglaze with 1/2 cup of bourbon.
Add flour and stir to completely combine.
Add water and beef base and stir to thoroughly combine.
Add 1/2 cup of bourbon and stir well.
Return chicken to pan.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
